UK and Other Countries Take Action Against OxyElite Pro

The United States is not the only country that has sounded alarm over the pre-workout sports supplement OxyElite Pro. Earlier this month, the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) joined the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) in attempts to warn consumers against the use of OxyElite Pro. Both versions of the supplement were noted by the MHRA, which recognized the old DMAA-containing supplement and the new aegeline-containing supplement as potentially dangerous to consumers.

Among those countries that have spoken out against OxyElite Pro are:

  • Australia
  • Denmark
  • New Zealand
  • Spain
  • United States
  • United Kingdom

The head of Intelligence for Enforcement announced that “OxyElite Pro is a potentially dangerous sports supplement and people should not use it.” Similar messages have been delivered by federal officials in several other countries.
