Thomas M. Moore
Tom is the firm's Managing Partner and heads our Personal Injury and Products Liability practices.
Education and Experience
Long recognized as one of the country's most prominent litigation and products liability attorneys, Tom has managed, litigated, and successfully resolved thousands of cases on behalf of both businesses and consumers.
Tom received his law degree in 1984 from King Hall School of Law at the University of California, Davis. After graduation and passing the bar, Tom joined Haight, Brown & Bonesteel LLP as a junior lawyer and quickly established himself in and outside the courtroom as an effective counselor, litigation manager, and trial attorney. Tom was appointed Co-Chair of the Haight Brown's Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Products Liability Practice Group and developed and managed a multimillion dollar portfolio of clients, representing some of the world's largest corporations in mass tort and complex products liability matters.
In 2001, Tom was recruited to establish the Los Angeles office of the prominent national law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. While at Drinker, Tom continued to litigate high profile products liability and other complex cases around the country, as well as class action litigation involving false advertising, consumer fraud and unfair trade practice claims.
Tom always felt a compelling urge to represent the victims of corporate negligence, fraud, and the sale of defective products. In 2007, he co-founded his own firm, Moore Labriola LLP, to do just that. At Moore Labriola, Tom focused on aggressively representing consumers injured by defective products, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and dietary supplements. In just his first year at Moore Labriola, Tom was appointed co-lead counsel in a large products liability case involving victims of a defective contact lens solution, which he successfully resolved.
In 2010, Tom spearheaded the merger between Moore Labriola LLP and The Senators (Ret.) Firm LLP in order to create a unique blend of litigation, regulatory, and legislative experience and know-how. At The Senators Firm, Tom's practice is wide-ranging and involves such diverse areas as products liability, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation and regulation and child sexual abuse matters.
