Cargill Ground Turkey Recall Lawsuit Overview

The Cargill ground turkey recall was announced on August 3, by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA’s) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The round turkey products are believed to be contaminated with Salmonella Heidelberg, an antibiotic-resistant strain that is suspected of causing at least 76 illnesses across the U.S. since March 9, including at least one death. Due to the severity of Salmonella Heidelberg food poisoning, patients may contact a Cargill ground beef recall lawyer at The Senators (Ret.) The CDC, in association with the FSIS and Cargill officials, initiated trace-back investigations and in-plant inspections to determine the genesis of the outbreak.
