However, a recent FDA lab analysis of Reumofan Plus facilities revealed the inclusion of undisclosed ingredients in lots of the “dietary supplement.” According to an FDA Firm Press Release, regulatory officials discovered samples of Reumofan tablets that contained trace amounts of methocarbamol, dexamethasone, and diclofenac. These hidden drug ingredients in Reumofan Plus may interact with other medications and result in serious adverse events. The FDA has already received dozens of adverse event reports, including death and stroke, associated with the use of Reumofan Plus.
Due to the inclusion of undisclosed active pharmaceutical ingredients and the increased rate of adverse health reports, Reumofan Plus tablets have become the subject of a recall. Accordingly, August 24, 2012 witnessed the removal of Reumofan Plus tablets from the market due to the findings of undisclosed ingredients by FDA officials.
The affected Reumofan Plus lots may include the following lot number(s): 99515ex0916 and expires: 2016. The product is marketed in a green bottle containing 30 lavender round tablets and is distributed nationwide via the internet.
