Warnings Against OxyElite Pro Now Coming from Australia and New Zealand

The pre-workout sports supplement OxyElite Pro has recently come under a lot of heat for its connection to the outbreak of acute non-viral hepatitis and liver damage. According to one CDC report, OxyElite Pro has been associated with a number of reported cases of liver damage in Hawaii - two cases of which required liver transplants and one resulting in death. Investigations into the precise cause of liver injury are still ongoing and our firm is currently reviewing cases for consumers who have experienced liver damage after using OxyElite Pro.

The United States, however, is not the only country to experience the adverse effects of the sports supplement. Recent reports from Australia and New Zealand suggest that some of the residents from these countries have also felt the adverse effects of OxyElite Pro.

As of October 23rd, one case of acute non-viral hepatitis has been linked to the OxyElite Pro product in New Zealand, as reported by the country's government. The warning issued by the New Zealand government similarly mirrors the one issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) earlier this month.

Also in line with the FDA's warnings against OxyElite Pro is the advisement from the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), which reflects comparable actions to the ones taken throughout the week by authorities in Denmark, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Health authorities have been alerted by FSANZ to be on the lookout for new cases of acute non-viral hepatitis. Anyone who has used OxyElite Pro is advised to be weary of the following symptoms:

  • Fatigue
  • Fever
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Abdominal pain
  • Joint pain
  • Dark urine
  • Clay-colored bowel movements
  • Yellow eyes
  • Jaundice

The FDA and FSANZ are both strongly questioning the "botanical source" of the active ingredient in OxyElite Pro, aegeline. Investigations into cases of non-viral hepatitis connected to OxyElite Pro continue to be ongoing.

Contact The Senators Firm if you or a loved one has suffered liver damage after using OxyElite Pro.
