Orange County Teacher Arrested on Suspicion of Sexually Assaulting Student

Orange County law enforcement officers have reported that a teacher Valencia High School in Placentia was recently arrested on suspicion of repeatedly sexually assaulting a female student over a four-year period. According to the Placentia Police Department, 35-year-old Rebecca Eileen Diebolt was taken into custody on Wednesday in the City of Brea. She has been booked into Orange County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Officials have stated that the investigation into Diebolt’s conduct began in early June after the alleged victim stepped forward to alert police. She stated that while she was a student at Valencia High School from 2004 to 2008, she had an ongoing sexual relationship with Diebolt.

Authorities state that the victim had allegedly become friends with Diebolt when she was 15 years old and soon began a sexual relationship. The victim claims to have had multiple sexual encounters with Diebolt in her classroom and at her home, and that the relationship continued after high school. Detectives are continuing to investigate the case and whether any additional victims were involved.
